Administrative Assistant Sample Cover Letter Seeking to work in an accounting firm

In my
position of seven years as an administrative assistant with Jacob and Weinberger
Accounting, I provided office support to a team of CPA's in all areas of
interoffice communications, calendar management and client relations. A large
part of my work involved interacting with bank representatives with a high
degree of confidentiality.
Preparing correspondence and financial statements and maintaining files is a
task that can seem overwhelming to many, but because of my strong organizational
skills I never fall behind and, as some kid me in the office, make it look easy.
It is a good feeling to know that everyone appreciates how I keep the office
functioning efficiently. When someone asks for a file, I can retrieve it just a
few minutes.
Specifically, this includes providing payroll services and preparing both
corporate and individual tax returns, W-2's and 1099 forms exercising a
proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks. I am now ready for a change and would like
to work in a general office environment in which my accounting skills would be a
benefit while learning new areas of business operations and managing exciting
project challenges.
